Thami Hastings
Senior Programs Manager, Milwaukee

Thami is responsible for the management of digital inclusion initiatives in the Milwaukee Metro Area, leading digital skills training programs for adult learners and capacity-building training for local community-based organizations that need support in that area, as well as making sure members of the community have access to devices and internet service. For the past year, Thami has been working on digital inclusion in Milwaukee, specifically with the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) adoption, being able to introduce ACP to over 500 residents through community outreach and events.

In the past year, she was invited to be part of the Advisory Techquity Council with United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County, which gave her the chance to network with different nonprofit organizations that have the same goal: minimize the digital bridge in Wisconsin.

Having the opportunity to give back to the city that took her in is very important for Thami. She was born and raised in the northeast area of Brazil, moved to the US in 2016 where she initially lived in Connecticut and Illinois, and has called Wisconsin her home for the past five years.

With over 10 years of experience in communications, Thami has a BA in Communications, and is now working towards her MBA in Communications and Public Relations with Concordia University, WI.
