Saying Good-bye to 2014

It"s been an exciting year at EveryoneOn. We matured as an organization, expanding our staff and developing new tools to better facilitate broadband adoption. As the year ends, we want to take time to reflect on these changes and acknowledge how they will help us emerge as a stronger, more resilient organization in 2015.

We Grew!

When we started the year, we only had five full-time staff members. Over the course of 2014, EveryoneOn grew by 100 percent! Some new faces include a new communications associate, program associate, operations manager, and regional manager in New Jersey.

We’re continuing to grow. In 2015, we’ll begin hiring in key markets, including a Regional Manager in Miami, FL. To learn about the new job opportunities at EveryoneOn, visit EveryoneOn.org/about/careers.

Increased Innovation

This year EveryoneOn debuted a series of new tools designed to get the word out about our work. It began with a complete overhaul of our website in the summer of 2014. We then launched new text and voice automated support systems in November.

By texting ‘Connect’ to 215-45, you can learn which low-cost Internet service offers and free digital literacy trainings are available in your community. Current subscribers can manage their personal accounts by calling (877) 947-4321. For more details on these new tools, please check out this Customer Support Phone & Text Guide we developed.

Impact Measurement

EveryoneOn understands the importance of measuring the impact of the work our enrollment partners do in spreading awareness about EveryoneOn’s low-cost Internet service and affordable computer offers.

By the Numbers

In the fall of 2014, we debuted a new enrollment partner portal. The portal contains information on how many households our nonprofit partners and survey results from individuals who signed up for Internet service through Mobile Beacon or Mobile Citizen.

Survey

Scalable Models

In 2014, we continued to work with nonprofits and corporate partners to create and refine scalable models designed to get a large number of households online. In Washington, DC, EveryoneOn worked with Connect.DC to provide free laptops and subsidized Internet service for District residents participating in training programs provided by the United Planning Organization. Through our bulk adoption program, we provided home access to Internet to students at Miami-Dade County Public Schools and Pomona Unified School District. Our regional manager in California collaborated with Magnolia Place Network and the California Emerging Technology Fund to connect 80 households at one broadband adoption event.

Bring Curiosity Home

At the end of 2014, we debuted our new public service announcements featuring created developed by The Martin Agency. The campaign, titled, "Bring Curiosity Home," included a television advertisement, bus shelter ads, and posters inside buses and convenience stores. In January, we’ll complete our new radio announcements and the Spanish-language version of our television commercials.

Thanks for Your support!

I want to close this post by thanking you for all of your hard work. We couldn’t facilitate broadband adoption without you promoting the low-cost Internet service offers, providing digital literacy training, and getting affordable laptops in the hands of those that need it. We appreciate your support and enjoyed every moment collaborating with you in 2014.

I hope you had a happy and safe New Year. We look forward to working with you in 2015!
